Track II: Bridging Suppers

Ready to connect across lines of difference? We invite you to host or join a dinner with strangers: folks who desire real understanding and who are willing to grant welcome in exchange for receiving it. This track will explicitly focus on connecting folks who wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to meet, in order to expand our circles of care.

We’re out to prove that a group of thoughtful people who differ from one another – politically, racially, religiously, or generationally – can sit down over a shared meal, go beneath the headlines, and understand the real stories that have shaped who we are. Bridging Suppers are an opportunity to escape our echo chambers, and to connect deeply with folks of different backgrounds, different faiths and different beliefs, different racial and ethnic identities, different genders and sexualities, different worldviews, and yes, maybe even different voting habits. And over time, they can even be a chance to build meaningful relationships with people you wouldn’t meet otherwise.
