ABOUT THE HOSTS:

Leslie lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband of 23 years and their three kids. She is active in her community, having served on boards for her church, her kids’ schools and YoungLife. In the wake of Michael Brown’s shooting, she and two friends co-founded Nashville Continues the Conversation on Race, an organization that hosted events to foster cross-cultural understanding and inspire social justice. She has a background in journalism and was a beauty writer at In Style and Seventeen magazines in NYC. She currently works at Valor Collegiate Academy as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Coordinator. Leslie believes deeply in the power of story and authentic relationships to transform hearts, lives, and systems. One of her favorite things to do is go on long hikes with friends or family.

Ife is a singer songwriter who lives in Nashville and works in the mental health field. She earned a M.S. in clinical psychology and enjoys using music to promote psych education and mental health awareness. She is currently working towards licensure and has been working as a recovery and life skills coach for young girls and women struggling with negative body image, perfectionism and eating disorders. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, traveling and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys binging anything from documentaries to foreign language episodic dramas on Netflix. She believes in the importance of community and enjoys spending a time with her family and close friends. As a proponent for authentic and intentional community, Ife revels at the chance to foster environments where people feel seen, heard and understood. She hopes by doing so people will feel safe enough to invest their time and share and leave richer in experiences and relationships.
