ABOUT YOUR HOST:
Susan believes that the better we know someone through their stories and daily life experiences, the easier it is to feel safe enough to discuss our differences with interest and curiosity. Currently, Susan worships with the Quakers, has also been a member of several Protestant Churches, and has belonged to a Catholic community for 30 years. She has lived and worked in communities of Indigenous people, worked with and for African Americans in low-income housing communities, lived for four years in Little Palestine, in the city of Haifa, Israel. She is trained as an English teacher and has taught English as a Second Language. Susan was also certified for 5 years as a mediator by the Supreme Court of Virginia.
