ABOUT YOUR HOST: Debi specializes in developing the capacities of people who want to make the world a better place, and is a passionate fan of connection, community, and humanity.
She serves on the teaching team at UPenn’s Center for Social Impact Strategy, where she mentors changemakers as they plan, launch, and scale up ventures that are financially sustainable while making the world a better, kinder, greener, or more equal place.
A new arrival to Hampton Roads, Debi is a retired competitive surfer and UN consultant whose work in poverty alleviation and peacebuilding has brought her through a couple of coups and dozens of countries across the Global South. Now an active duty military spouse, her semi-nomadic lifestyle continues to foster a deep appreciation of home, wherever you make it.
She loves connecting people, needs, resources, and ideas, and looks forward to gathering new friends around the dining room table to break bread and share.
