ABOUT YOUR HOST:
Lauren lives in Nashville, with her partner, Aaron. For the past six years she has worked as a homeless outreach worker at a local non-profit and has been involved in housing rights, organizing efforts with low-income tenants and people without stable housing. She recently graduated from Vanderbilt Divinity School where she pursued questions about holistic care of and with folks who live on the margins and folks who struggle for justice in movement work. Lauren loves to practice giving and receiving care over a shared meal or shared story. She lives in an intentional community, loves poetry and DIY projects, and she tends a colorful garden. Lauren is a listener and ponderer, always mulling over the stories of others, looking for glimmers of joy, and trying to savor the wisdom of lived experience. She believes we could get a lot farther down the road together if we could learn to listen deeply to one another. She invites you over to share a meal and practice that art together.
